Mr. Jeffrey Asmar is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private psychotherapy practice in Farmington, CT. He has worked with individuals and families in the Hartford and New Haven areas since 2004. Founded in 2009, his practice offers relational therapy informed by current developmental research.

Mr. Asmar graduated from Hamilton College in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and obtained his Master of Social Work from the Smith College School for Social Work in 2004. He continued his clinical training at the Yale Child Study Center and went on to work with the Connecticut Department of Mental Health. In 2008, he participated in a nine month course in Applied Behavioral Analysis offered by the Institute for Applied Behavioral Analysis. His training continued with the completion in 2015 of the two year Studies in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy program presented by the Western New England Institute for Psychoanalysis in New Haven, CT.

Mr. Asmar is an appointed member of the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine where he provides individual clinical supervision and teaches coursework to the medical residents. He also works as an Academic Field Advisor and clinical supervisor for the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and serves as the Hartford County Regional Representative of the Connecticut Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology.
